In yet another absurd and predictable perversion of sports excellence, cyclist Rachel McKinnon of Canada won the women’s 2019 Masters Track Cycling World Championships in Manchester on Saturday. Congratulations to her!
Yes, it turns out that McKinnon is actually a biological man who now poses as a woman for the purposes of his “gender identity.” That’s all fine and well in everyday life, we suppose, but really? We’re letting this idiot compete in the women’s category…and then acting like we’re surprised when he wins the whole thing? What a joke.
Oh hey, look at that, he also set a new women’s world record. How awesome. And the BBC reports that he also won this event last year.
Like, what can you even do but laugh at this point?
In an interview with Sky News, McKinnon addressed critics who think that maybe he shouldn’t be out here competing in the women’s category.
“So, if we want to say that I believe you’re a woman for all of society, except for this massive central part that is sport, then that’s not fair,” McKinnon said.
You’re right. We should probably stop feeding this delusion everywhere in our society. That would make a it lot simpler.
“I have yet to meet a real champion who has a problem with trans women. Real champions want stronger competition,” McKinnon tweeted on Sunday. “If you win because bigotry got your competition banned … you’re a loser.”
Uh-huh. By that logic, we can go round up a team of 22-year-old men and win ourselves a gold T-ball trophy next summer. We’ll just say we identify as children, and then what are they going to say? Any four-year-old who won’t go toe-to-toe with us on the diamond is obviously a bigoted loser.
“The thing is, the people who oppose trans women’s full and equal rights think that the ‘facts’ are on their side,” McKinnon tweeted in another post. “This is why they always come back to ‘common sense.’ That’s not an argument, loves. It’s the last refuge of the ignorant. It means you’ve already lost, bad.”
Yeah, well. If “common sense” isn’t enough to tell you that a biological man who says he’s a woman is actually still a man, then we suppose we’ll just sit over here in our blissful ignorance until everyone else wakes up from this international fever dream. In the meantime, have fun racking up those “world records,” Rachel.
