(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Michael Cohen, previously the personal lawyer for former President Donald Trump, expressed that Trump should face consequences for allegedly breaking his gag order by referring to both Cohen and adult film star Stormy Daniels as “two sleaze bags.”

This accusation comes just before Trump’s upcoming trial concerning hush money payments, set to commence this Monday. In a recent interview with Politico, Cohen, who is not a defendant in this trial, pointed out Trump’s continued disregard for judicial restrictions, stating, “The defendant in this case is the former president, Donald J. Trump. So, what does he do? He starts to attack.”

Trump’s alleged violation of the gag order, according to Cohen, includes disparaging remarks made about him and Daniels. Cohen asserts that Trump’s actions could be seen as witness intimidation and obstruction of justice. He relayed his frustrations about a post made by Trump on Wednesday, where Trump criticized Daniels and Cohen for supposedly deceiving the country, escalating tensions further.

Daniels and Cohen are poised to be pivotal witnesses in the trial that accuses Trump of illicitly altering business records to cover up payments made to Daniels to keep an alleged extramarital affair out of the public eye during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Despite the imposition of a gag order, Trump has continued to verbally assail the judge involved in the case, the judge’s family, and others, claiming the order is biased since others are free to discuss him publicly.

Cohen told Politico that although he doesn’t possess the authority to request enforcement of the gag order from Judge Juan Merchan, he believes that both Judge Merchan and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg should impose stricter limits on Trump to maintain a dignified and safe courtroom environment for all participants, especially witnesses like himself.

As for his participation in the trial, Cohen indicated that while he is slated to testify, he may not do so immediately, comparing his role to that of a “cleanup” hitter, indicating his later but critical position in the witness lineup.
