(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Friday, former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), who was part of the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6th, 2021, Capitol attack, stated that the campaign of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been”hijacked by MAGA.”
A day earlier Kennedy had put out a statement in which he had vowed that if elected to the White House he would be appointing a special prosecutor to investigate if there was any abuse of “prosecutorial discretion” in connection to Jan. 6th, 2021.
On Friday, Kinzinger during an interview told CNN that Kennedy’s presidential campaign had been “hijacked.” He added that perhaps that was not the case and that these comments had been made voluntarily. However, he did say that as time passed more of these Donald Trump-type conspiracies were going to emerge and that Kennedy was either going to go along with it as it would help him raise money or because he actually believed these things. He added that this was frightening.
Kennedy’s campaign sent out an email titled “We Must Free Assange!” in which they compared how the Jan. 6th defendants and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange have been treated.
In the email, it is claimed that “the Brits” wanted to ensure that the government would not kill “Assange.” He said that this is a reality that all American citizens face, including Assange, “Ed Snowden” and the J6 activists who are currently jailed in Washington DC.
Stephanie Spear, the spokesperson for Kennedy’s campaign, claimed that the statement was an error and that it was not a reflection of the views held by Kennedy. She added that this was just a new marketing contractor mistake that had slipped from the normal approval process. As a result, the contractor had also been dismissed.
