( – On Sunday, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R) from Tennessee stated during an appearance on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo” that Americans needed to be “incensed” by the fact that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was looking to dismiss the impeachment articles against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, even though they had received the approval of the House.

She pointed out that this would be the first time in the United States that the majority leader in the Senate looking to table the articles. She added that during the Biden administration and under Mayorkas’ watch there have been close to 10 million immigrants that have illegally made their way into the country.

Blackburn claimed that Mayorkas had lied to Congress by repeatedly stating that the border was closed when it clearly was not. She added that throughout this time, he has been doing Joe Biden’s bidding. She then pointed out that this approach to immigration has affected the entire country, which is why Mayorkas had an impeachment trial as the Constitution instructs.

The impeachment trial is not the only issue Blackburn addressed during her interview. She also noted that Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador had been aggressive in his request for $20 billion as part of a cooperation plan that would also include granting 10 million or more visas to Hispanic migrant workers who have been in the United States for more than 10 years.
