(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – While former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley might have dropped out of the Republican primary over a month ago, that has not stopped her supporters from voting for her in the GOP primary race, which would ultimately help to decide the party’s nominee.
In the Pennsylvania primary race on Tuesday, Haley was not officially competing, and yet she received close to 17 percent of the vote or 157,000 votes. Former President Donald Trump who is presumed to be the GOP nominee for 2024, was able to easily win the primary race in the state. Still, despite his win by a large margin, many have also pointed out the importance of the closed primary results and their importance as Haley received such an impressive level of support.
During her time competing against Trump, Haley only managed one victory in the primary, which was in Vermont. Haley has remained quiet after withdrawing from the presidential race and has not given the former President her endorsement.
During the primary race, Trump had taken to referring to Haley as a “birdbrain” and had even claimed that those who had supported Haley were going to be banned from the “MAGA” Republican camp forever. On the other hand, President Biden has bid to get Haley’s supporters to join him by releasing campaign ads specifically targeting them.
Pennsylvania is a battleground state with 21 electoral votes, so determining who might win this race could also help determine the winner of the presidential election.
