( – Republican Kevin McCarthy (CA), former House Speaker, warned the Biden administration that they should be “concerned” given former President Donald Trump’s New Jersey rally pulled in as many as 100,000 supporters, a historic figure for the state.

Speaking to host Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” McCarthy expressed that the rally numbers were “extraordinary” and suggested the Golden State could be in play in November.

McCarthy suggested New Jersey has not been considered a state where “Republicans would compete” before querying whether President Joe Biden could pull the type of crowd Trump pulled in New Jersey in deep blue states like New York or California, stating Biden could not.

The California Republican then highlighted how Biden was campaigning and talking less, suggesting the President would get “in trouble while doing it.”

McCarthy emphasized that Trump’s action with his rallying was proving that regardless of what “they throw at him, he’s going to fight back.”

According to a spokesperson for Wildwood, where Trump conducted his New Jersey rally, between 80,000 and 100,000 people were in attendance, more than double what was anticipated.

Prompting cheers from the crowd, Trump confidently stated, “We’re going to win the state of New Jersey.”

The former President shared his belief that the GOP would emerge victorious in all states, explaining that in blue states people were joining the GOP because of “love, intelligence, and… common sense.”

Speaking to news outlets, those who attended Trump’s rally asserted that New Jersey was up for grabs in this election cycle as issues like border security and the economy become central to voters in the Golden State.
