(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Jill Biden, the First Lady, is set to publish a new book in July. The children’s book will follow the journey of Willow, the family’s pet cat, as she moves to Washington D.C., and gets to explore the White House. In the book, there will also be references to the people she meets who are helping to keep everything operating smoothly.

“Willow the White House Cat” is co-authored by Alyssa Satin Capucilli, while the picture book’s illustrations are the work of Kate Berube. The book will be published by Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing imprint, Paula Wiseman Books.

On Tuesday, the First Lady stated during a press release that Willow will explore the history of her new home by traveling between all the different rooms. She will also meet all of the incredible people who are responsible for keeping the White House operating smoothly. She commented that the White House staff had welcomed the First Family’s cat with love and care, much like they had done for other First Families and all the people who entered the White House.

The Bidens adopted the American short-haired tabby cat from a farmer in Pennsylvania, according to the announcement of the book. They decided to name her Willow after the First Lady’s hometown.

As a spokesperson for Jill Biden noted in 2020, the cat immediately made an impression on the First Lady after she had interrupted her speech during a campaign stop by jumping on stage. Ever since then, the two have shared a deep and loving bond.
