(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – This week, former Vice President Mike Pence told Fox News Digital that it was necessary for GOP voters to get to know him better. He added that as he heads out on the campaign trail, he is hoping that Republican primary voters will see him in a new light and that they will be able to see that he is the “most qualified, the most tested, and the most proven conservative” in the Republican primary race.

He says that the Republican party needs new leadership and a new leader who will help the country progress with a “proven conservative agenda.” He also pointed out that it was necessary for that new leader to have an understanding of how Washington worked in order to help restore the nation. He argued that if this was something people were looking for, then he would be the best person for the job.

Pence noted that he was well known to the majority of Americans as “Vice President Mike Pence,” but they do not know him for his work during the 12 years he led the House conservatives. He claimed that during that time, he fought against the 2008 Wall Street bailout.

He added that most Americans did not know about his battle in Indiana when, as the governor, he had passed the largest tax cut in the state’s history and had also expanded the largest school choice program in the country. He pointed out that this is exactly why he was running now: because the country is in trouble.
