(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has slammed former President Donald Trump about his remarks regarding Jewish Americans who had voted for the Democrats being “dangerous” and claimed that this was a clear example of antisemitism.

On Monday during an interview, former President Donald Trump claimed that the Democrats “hate Israel” and that Jewish voters should not be voting in support of the Democrats who hated their religion. These remarks came as a response to Schumer who had last week called for an election in Israel and had slammed Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

On Tuesday, Schumer, the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in American history, slammed Trump for his comments. During his speech on the Senate floor, he argued that the comments made by Trump had been “disgusting” and that they were a clear example of the type of antisemitism that Jewish people constantly face. He added that it was sick for one side to claim that just because they had a different political view it meant that the Democrats hated Israel.

Schumer had also argued that it was unadulterated antisemitism and that it would only further strain relations between the United States and Israel. He added that throughout the years they have had Israel bipartisanship on everything they did and that partisan behavior would only hurt Israel. He argued that this only showed the extent to which Trump would be willing to go.

Schumer also pointed out that in the past Trump has had dinner with Nick Fuentes, a white supremacist.
