(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Tuesday, Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pushed for a debate against former President Donald Trump during the Libertarian Party’s convention this month. As he argued the event was going to be a “neutral territory” that could be ideal for a debate between the two of them.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Kennedy argued that he had an offer for Trump. As he pointed out both of them would be speaking at the upcoming Libertarian convention on May 24th and 25th, which would act as the perfect venue for the two of them to have a debate against one another. He added that during the event, Trump would have the chance to defend his record to his wavering supporters and argued that they should meet in the next few weeks so that they could show to the American people that “at least two of the major candidates” were not scared of having to debate against one another.
Kennedy had previously in his presidential campaign considered joining the Libertarian Party after he withdrew from the Democratic primary. Both Trump and Kennedy have been invited to speak at the convention. President Joe Biden, who had also been invited to speak at the party’s convention had declined.
On Tuesday Kennedy stated that Trump had previously argued that he was “not afraid to debate” him so long as he was polling decently. The independent candidate pointed out that he is currently the only presidential candidate to have polled ahead of both of the major party candidates in head-to-head races.
