(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Former President Donald Trump and his attorney Alina Habba have now withdrawn the second lawsuit they had previously filed against New York Attorney General Letitia James.

This is the second lawsuit that Trump has withdrawn within the week. He had previously withdrawn a lawsuit in Florida that blocked James from looking at his revocable trust. This case was an appeal to a ruling from a federal court judge in Syracuse, New York, where it had been determined that James’ investigations and civil lawsuit were not influenced by political bias.

Habba and a lawyer from James’ office both filed in order to have the case voluntarily dismissed. James is currently suing Trump and three of his adult children, as well as executives of the Trump organization for $250 million. As the case stands James is claiming that they had exaggerated the value of properties and assets to get more favorable terms in loans, and insurance rates, while reducing them to cut down on tax payments.

So far, Trump has not disclosed why he has chosen to have both lawsuits withdrawn. However, speculations say it relates to the decision by U.S. District Judge Donald Middlebrooks who fined Trump and Habba nearly $1 million for what he ruled as frivolous lawsuits brought against Hillary Clinton.

Middlebrooks’ 46-page judgment also claimed that Trump’s lawsuits showed “a pattern of abuse of the courts.”

Depending on the outcome of James’ civil lawsuits, Trump’s ability to conduct business in New York might be hindered.
