(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Former President Donald Trump has responded to the media and the Democrats for having taken his “bloodbath” remark – which he claims referred to the U.S. automotive industry – out of context.

On Saturday, during a rally in Ohio, Trump spoke about the danger posed to the U.S. automotive industry by foreign imports. Trump argued that if he won back the White House, he would impose a large tariff on imported cars and that on the whole there would be a “bloodbath.”

While his comments were actually referencing the car industry, they were quickly taken out of context from multiple media outlets that had headlines about Trump saying there would be a “bloodbath” if he does not win the 2024 election. This includes CBS and NBC which ran similar stories.

Many outlets had also used some of Trump’s Truth Social posts in their articles, claiming that Trump’s comment was a reference to civil blood spilling and that it was not just relating to an economic “bloodbath.”

On Monday, Trump took to his social media platform to rant that fake news had been completely taken out of context, despite it being one that they use all the time.

In his post, he said that despite understanding perfectly well what he had meant by that reference, the Democrats and the media had been twisting his words for their own gain.
