On MSNBC Sunday night, 2024 Presidential candidate and Indian American Nikki Haley was accused of being an “alpha Karen with Brown skin.”

Daily Beast contributor Wajahat Ali told MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan that he is saddened when he sees Haley. He added that she weaponizes her Brown skin “against poor Black folks and poor Brown-Black folks.” Ali further claimed that Haley was using her skin color to hide her “white supremacist talking points.”

Ali did not only talk about Haley during his appearance. He continued with another accusation against Haley that she “is the Dinesh D’Souza of Candace Owens.” D’Souza, is a conservative Indian American filmmaker, while Candace Owens is a talk show host. He proceeded to refer to Haley as an “alpha Karen with Brown skin.”

A “Karen” is an online insult that has gained popularity in recent years. It is used in reference to entitled middle-aged white women.

Ali further claimed that white supremacists were allegedly using Asian Americans in order to gain more political support. However, he warned Haley that regardless of what she did, they were never going to fully accept her in America as she is a member of a minority population. He added that it does not matter that her family were legal immigrants; the people in this community won’t be able to make a distinction, and “bigots don’t care.”
