(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia strongly criticized Judge Arthur Engoron following his ruling that led to a $355 million business fraud verdict against ex-President Trump. The judgment found that Trump and his organization had engaged in fraudulent business practices by overvaluing assets, including his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
Trump has contended that Mar-a-Lago is worth over $1 billion, contrary to Engoron’s acceptance of an appraisal valuing the property between $18 million and $27 million. Greene expressed her disapproval on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, asserting that Engoron’s actions warranted his removal from the bench, labeling him a “disgrace.”
Greene also highlighted the historical value of the Mar-a-Lago property, referencing a 1981 sale advertisement when it was listed for $20 million. She argued that the property’s transformation into a premier social club significantly increased its value beyond what was determined in the judgment against Trump.
Judge Engoron has clarified that the valuation of Mar-a-Lago was not his personal estimate but was based on a professional appraisal by a local real estate expert. Despite Trump’s supporters claiming that the judge’s decision was politically motivated, Engoron has distanced himself from the valuation figures cited during the trial.
Trump has refuted any wrongdoing and announced his intention to appeal the ruling. The decision also temporarily prohibits him from managing any businesses in New York for the next three years. Following the verdict, Trump’s legal team requested a 30-day extension to delay the enforcement of the judgment.
