(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Columnist E. Jean Carroll stated that she would sue former President Donald Trump again if he continued to make public statements about her.
This statement by Carroll’s attorney during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki. These latest comments by Shawn Crowley come after Trump recently told his supporters at a Michigan rally over the weekend that he had committed no wrongdoings relating to Carroll and that the two existing cases against him were “unfair.”
On Monday night, Crowley was asked whether the former President’s recent comments would warrant Carroll bringing forward another lawsuit. This would be the third lawsuit filed by Carroll against Trump. In response, the lawyer argued that what Trump had said was a complete lie and that previously two federal juries had found that Trump was liable for having sexually assaulted Carroll and for having lied about her. He added that everything that Trump had stated regarding Carroll in the last five years was “defamatory” and had been a lie.
Crowley pointed out that they were hoping before that the jury’s decision to fine Trump for $83 million, in this case, would have convinced him to stop making references to Carroll, but he had exhibited that he could not control himself when it came to speaking about her.
Last month, a New York City jury found that Trump needed to pay $83.3 million to Carroll over the defamatory statements that he had made in 2019 when he had claimed that the allegations of sexual assault made against him were untrue. Trump has argued that he would be appealing the verdict.
