(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Democratic donors have been pushing President Joe Biden to look at the presidential primary results in states like Michigan where over 100,000 voters had opted to withhold their support and instead voted “uncommitted” on their ballots. They pointed out that this should act as a “wake-up call” and “warning sign” to the President.
The national hub of progressive donors Way to Win wrote that regardless of how people dissected the statistics and looked at the previous elections, what happened in Michigan should be a “wake-up call.” In the memo, the group further pointed out that this was the energy behind the movement and that the decision of voters to vote “uncommitted” was not something they should ignore or dismiss.
It also pointed out that there is no point in arguments and that instead, this was just a clear sign that there was a need for change. In the primary election in Michigan the state’s Arab American population had pushed for voters to “Abandon Biden” and instead put down “uncommitted” on the ballots in protest of Biden’s stance in the Israel-Hamas war. Biden still won the state with 81 percent support, however, he had lost around 101,000 votes due to the protest.
Way to Win further cautioned in the memo that 2024 was likely to be a repetition of 2016 where Hillary Clinton had lost the state in the Democratic primary to Bernie Sanders. However, despite this, they still believed that the state would vote blue in the general election. Trump however managed to win the state in the general election by 11,000 votes.
