(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Former national security adviser John Bolton is allegedly planning to enter the 2024 presidential race and try to win the Republican nomination. However, most experts do not believe he stands a chance against former President Donald Trump.

Bolton had previously served as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations from 2005 to 2006. During an interview on NBC News’ Meet The Press he told the hosts that he was “absolutely” thinking about launching a campaign for the White House. On Friday morning, Good Morning Britain took to Twitter to disclose that allegedly Bolton had told the television program that he was going to be running for President.

The program also went ahead and shared a clip from an interview in which Bolton was speaking about how America was in need of a really strong foreign policy. Bolton also added that he believed Trump’s influence and presence within the party was in a “terminal decline” and that he was not going to receive any support in his 2024 presidential campaign.

This past November Trump officially launched his presidential campaign around a week after the 2022 midterm elections. According to an Emerson College survey, some Republicans still support Trump; there are others who would like to see Florida Governor Ron DeSantis potentially upset and cut down Trump’s momentum.

DeSantis was one of the big winners of the 2022 midterm elections, easily winning his own reelection while turning Florida even redder. Still, despite many wanting him to run for the White House, DeSantis himself has never said he would run for President.
