(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Save America leadership PAC, which is supporting former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign spent in the last month close to $3 million on legal consulting.

The new Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings have shown that Save America spent in January around $2.9 million on legal consulting expenses. The largest payment of over half a million dollars had ended up going to John Lauro’s legal firm, as he is the lawyer who is handling the federal election interference case on behalf of the former President.

The debt filings of Save America also show that there is $1.9 million in outstanding legal costs that the PAC has yet to cover. The new numbers add to the high amount that Trump’s team has had to pay in order to face the criminal indictments that have been filed against him along the campaign trail. His fundraising committee spent around $30 million in legal fees during the second half of 2023, and over the entire year is estimated to have spent approximately $50 million.

Former President Donald Trump is currently in the middle of his 2024 presidential campaign while also facing 91 criminal charges, across different federal and state criminal indictments. Apart from the criminal cases against him, he has also had to deal with a number of civil suits. Still, despite all these legal issues Trump appears to be the most likely 2024 Republican presidential nominee.

Trump’s principal campaign’s monthly report has shown that Trump brought in around $9 million in January and ended up having around $30 million cash on hand. This is a far higher number than that of his remaining 2024 Republican challenger Nikki Haley who brought in over $11 million but has ended up with only around $13 million cash on hand.
