( – Stephania Grisham, who served as former first lady Melania Trump’s chief of staff, has issued a warning about a possible second Donald Trump administration.

Former President Donald Trump is currently the frontrunner in the 2024 Republican presidential nomination race. So far, he has managed to lead the race by a significant margin, with polling averages showing him leading the race by around 50 percent of support.

Grisham, who served in Trump’s White House, first as an aide to his wife and then as the White House press secretary and communications director, resigned from her position after the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack. Since the attack, Grisham has become a vocal critic of the former President.

On Monday, during an appearance on CNN, Grisham spoke about the possibility of Trump winning a second term in the White House. She argued that it is important for those who once believed in Trump to understand what a possible second Trump presidency would mean. She proceeded to state that democracy was people having the right to act and speak freely, but that under Trump there was no way people would be allowed to do that if they chose to say anything negative about him.

She continued by arguing that the free press is going to fall by the wayside as well. She remembered that even during her time serving as press secretary, Trump would often have her remove reporters from the White House grounds.

Grisham further argued that Trump would most likely align the United States with Russia and China instead of keeping to the NATO alliance.
