(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Former President Trump took to Truth Social to express support for the House Republicans who voted in favor of censuring Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA), while also slamming the 20 House Republicans that voted against censuring.
In his post, Trump wrote that Florida Republican congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna is persistent, especially when it comes to holding people accountable for their lies, he also proceeded to call her a “STAR.” He proceeded to state that “Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff” had put the country at risk through his lies, adding that he should be imprisoned. The censuring motion had been brought to the House to address Schiff’s previous comments about there being ties between Trump and Russia.
Schiff, who has announced his Senate campaign for the seat currently held by Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein, avoided being censured in a 225-196 vote, where 20 Republicans voted along with the Democrats for Luna’s measure to not be brought to the floor.
Trump, in the Truth Social post, claimed that all 20 of the House Republicans who did not vote for his censuring should be “primaried” and that there are some “great candidates” that could challenge them.
Schiff has stated that he is “flattered” by the resolution Luna brought forth and argued that the only reason they were attempting to censure him was so they could distract people from looking into the case against Trump. Following the vote, he also told CNN that regardless of what resolutions are being brought against him and what fines he is made to pay, he will always defend the country’s democracy.
