State Cracks Down On Underage Abortions

(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Monday, the Tennessee legislature introduced a new bill that would target adults who help minors get an out-of-state abortion.

According to the bill any adult who transports or harbors a pregnant minor, who has not been emancipated, with the purpose of assisting them to get access to leave the state in order to get a “criminal abortion” would be charged as under the “offense of abortion trafficking of a minor.” The law further notes that minor consent could not be used as a viable argument by the prosecution.

President Biden has recently been attacking former president Donald Trump over the increase in abortion access restrictions across the United States. On Tuesday during a campaign rally, Biden warned his supporters about the risks to reproductive healthcare that would be brought forward by a potential second Trump administration. Biden argued that there should not be any mistake about the fact that Trump was the person who was taking away freedom from Americans.

He added that the only reason why women and underage girls were being forced to travel to other states to get an abortion was because of Trump who had stripped away their fundamental rights.

Trump had appointed three justices to the Supreme Court which ultimately led to the Court ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade in 2022. This led to an increase in abortion restrictions in red states like Tennessee.

Biden argued that Trump was hoping that people had stopped caring and would not vote for this issue, but that he was certain that the former President was wrong about this.
