(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Monday the Biden campaign announced that Vice President Harris was ready to debate Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) who is Trump’s vice-presidential choice.
TJ Ducklo, a spokesperson for the Biden campaign noted during a call with reporters that Harris has been campaigning with a focus on the economy, gun violence, and reproductive health, adding that she was ready for a debate against Vance.
Ducklo pointed out that they were expecting that Harris would be focusing on the same topics if Vance was willing to have a debate against him, and argued that the vice president was completely ready to “take him on.”
In May the Biden campaign had accepted an invitation by CBS News for Harris to debate against whoever Trump selected as his vice-presidential pick. At the time the network had noted that the debate would either take place on July 23 or August 13.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) who talked with reporters on behalf of the Biden campaign noted that Harris is going to “take it to” Vance. She argued that she has known Harris for close to 15 years and that she has always been someone who fights for working families. Warren added that she was looking forward to that debate.
On Monday the Biden campaign slammed Trump over his vice-presidential pick arguing that he had just selected someone who will enable him, unlike what former Vice President Mike Pence had done on January 6, when he had not allowed Trump to attempt to overturn the presidential election. Biden campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon had argued that Vance was going to be willing to enable Trump to push his MAGA agenda even if it meant breaking the law or harming Americans.
