Will Biden’s Border Management Fail Tremendously?

(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – President Joe Biden, during his recent visit to the border, tried to employ the tactic of triangulation. While Biden could be harsher when dealing with those in the Democratic Party who consider most immigration enforcement to be either illegitimate or morally wrong, Biden has taken a different approach to immigration. Instead, he is trying to create a consensus with lawmakers where amnesty could be granted to illegal immigrants and legal paths to citizenship and immigration could be opened up.

On Sunday, during his first official border visit as President, Biden said that those on the border were in need of a “lot of resources” and that the government would work to supply them with the resources they needed.

In the 2022 midterm elections, the GOP managed to flip the House with a narrow majority. While Democrats have won the majority in the Senate, they don’t have enough seats to be able to get through a filibuster without the support of some Republican senators. Measures such as the ones that Biden is proposing have previously been unsuccessful both during former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations. In order for them to successfully pass through Congress they would require bipartisan support which in migration issues is hard to come by.

Biden is currently preparing to launch his reelection campaign. However, there is one issue that might come to haunt him during his campaign: immigration. During his time in office, there has been an influx in illegal immigration with almost 2.4 million border encounters being registered last year.
