(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Monday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) slammed Vice President Kamala Harris and claimed that she was acting as President Biden’s “impeachment insurance.” During an interview on “The Ingraham Angle,” DeSantis suggested that it is possible that the House has not agreed to launch an impeachment inquiry because they knew that if they did there was a chance of Harris taking over.
DeSantis, who is one of the 2024 Republican presidential candidates, told host Laura Ingraham that she was most likely right about Harris being the reason why the impeachment inquiry has not been launched. He also added that she lacked the necessary aptitude for the job, even though she is significantly younger than President Biden.
He proceeded to call Harris, Biden’s “impeachment insurance” since people did not want to see Harris takeover regardless of how bad Biden might turn out to be. He added that this was the “sad situation” that the country was in.
Several House GOP members have been pushing for Speaker Kevin McCarthy to hold a vote for launching an impeachment inquiry into Biden. However, while the House Republicans investigations have thus far given them access to a lot of different records they have not yet found any evidence that shows illegal activity that President Biden was involved in. Despite this, there are still Republicans who are pushing for a vote to be held so that an impeachment inquiry can be launched.
House Representatives are going to be returning to Capitol Hill this week where they will need to focus on passing a resolution that would fund the government before the deadline at the end of this month.
