Who Will Get The 2024 GOP Nomination?

(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – With Former President Trump already having announced his presidential campaign, there are many other possible contenders who are considering whether or not they wish to place a bid for the White House. Speculations want Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to be a potential candidate for the Presidency even though DeSantis himself has not made any comments indicating that he would like to run.

While the GOP is speculating about who will be their next nominee, here are the candidates most likely to snatch that nomination.

1. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis just had an exceptional midterm election as he won in his state by almost 20 points. Florida which had previously been considered a battleground state has turned red and DeSantis is the key figure that made that possible. With his opposition to culture war issues and COVID-19 mandates he has made himself stand out from the crowd and as such the polls show that many support him both within and outside of Florida.

2. Former President Trump

While the former President’s popularity and control of the GOP have been dwindling, the reality is that he is still a favorite for winning the GOP nomination. More importantly, though, he is one of the few contenders to have actually announced their presidential campaign. This means that everyone else who chooses to announce their campaigns now will effectively need to fight off Trump and win the nomination in a race against him.

3. Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas)

Cruz had been one of the most serious contenders in the 2016 race, but eventually, he lost to Trump. While he has not announced another bid for the White House, it would be possible for him to choose to announce one. The one problem with that plan for Cruz would be that in 2024 he is also facing reelection to the Senate which could complicate his plans.
