Warren: Black Transgender Women are “Backbone of our Democracy”

This week, the queer rights group Black Womxn For announced they were throwing their meaningless endorsement towards Elizabeth Warren in the 2020 election. In an announcement that is sure to make no difference whatsoever in the outcome of the Democratic primaries, the “womxn” said “after gathering in fourteen cities across the United States and collecting hundreds of survey responses from self-identified progressive Black women and GNC/NB folks, the overwhelming majority of excitement and support is for Sen. Elizabeth Warren.”

Now, Warren could have gotten away with simply tweeting a quick, “yo, thanks,” but with Beto O’Rourke out of the primaries, apparently the door is open for the kind of Super Pandering he took with him. And boy, did Warren rise to the occasion.

“Black trans and cis women, gender-nonconforming, and nonbinary people are the backbone of our democracy and I don’t take this endorsement lightly,” the Massachusetts senator tweeted. “I’m committed to fighting alongside you for the big, structural change our country needs.”

We’re not sure this is quite as bad as O’Rourke promising an activist that the Democratic Party would hold a debate focused solely on the issue of black transgender women, but it’s pretty bad. And her clumsy attempt to pander to this minuscule population got her roasted on social media.

A sample of the replies:

“Well that’s a few more percentage points voting for Trump right there.”

“The backbone of democracy. I’m impressed with your insanity.”

“Statistically, they’re like 10% of one vertebrae. Good luck in the Midwest.”

“Ok boomer.”

“This is why you will not be President.”

“I saw no mention of pygmies from New Guinea.”

“Be careful. If you keep pandering this hard you’re gonna break a hip or something.”

The idea that the collection of special identities that Warren cites is the backbone of anything is pretty hilarious, but this is the desperation of Democrats in the brave new world that the left has created. They can’t just be polite and nice and tolerant. No, they have to go so over-the-top that they sound as if they are literally suffering from mental illness.

Like, does anyone really believe that Elizabeth Warren has a firm grasp on what “gender nonconforming” even means?

Well, who knows, maybe they taught that kind of thing on the reservation.
