(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump made a joke about former New Jersey Governor and Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie’s weight.

The incident took place during Trump’s New Hampshire campaign stop where he mocked Christie over his weight. He stated that Christie was busy eating at that moment, and he should not be bothered.

He then jokingly responded to one member of the audience, jokingly saying that he should not refer to Christie as a “fat pig” as it was “very disrespectful.” He proceeded to joke that he was trying to be nice and that they wanted to be civil which is why they could not refer to Christie as a “fat pig.”

Trump has frequently made fun of Christie over his appearance and more specifically his weight. In June, he had taken to Truth Social to call Christie out over his size by questioning how many times Christie was using the word “small.” He proceeded to allege that perhaps the reason he had made so many references to that word was because of his height. Trump, at 6’3″ tall, towers over Christie, who is only 5’11”.

He noted that what was actually “small”  and not good was Christie’s speech, adding that it was hard and boring to watch him speak. As he pointed out, Christie’s approval rate while in office was only 7 percent so the presidential election would not be any different.

Christie has responded to some of Trump’s attacks over his weight, telling host Howard Kurtz on “MediaBuzz” that Trump was not an “Adonis.” This was a reference to the Greek god that was known for being beautiful.
