Tucker Carlson during his Fox News show on Tuesday, stated that “82-year-old men should not be running countries.” This was widely perceived as an attack on President Joe Biden who would turn 82 in November 2024, but it could also be applicable to former President Donald Trump if he wins the 2024 presidential election.

During his show, Carlson stated that everyone knows that elderly men should not be tasked with running a country, including “any 82-year-old man you ask.”

While Biden would be 82 at the start of his second term if he wins, Trump would turn 82 in June 2028, which would be close to the end of his second term if he wins. During his remarks, Carlson did not mention Trump at all and instead focused on Biden.

If Biden does win after his reelection campaign, then he would leave the White House when he is 86 years old. In Carlson’s speech, the Fox News host focused a lot on how Biden was born “in the first half of the last century” and how at the time of his birth “only 36 percent of American households had a telephone” and close to “half of them did not have indoor plumbing.”

Carlson went on to say that age is a defining thing for every person, including Joe Biden. Carlson, who is known for having supported a number of Trump’s policies during his administration, has said that he is not planning on endorsing a candidate for the Republican primary in 2024.
