( – Mary Trump, niece of former President Donald Trump has once again slammed her uncle, calling him the “leader of the pro-death party.” In her recent comments which were part of her “The Good in Us” newsletter argued that Donald Trump poses a national security threat and that due to his stance on public safety issues, he was the “death candidate.”

Mary Trump highlighted the irony in Trump’s response to a recent Supreme Court ruling that overturned his administration’s ban on bump stocks, which can be used to convert semi-automatic firearms to weapons that can shoot hundreds of rounds per minute. The Trump administration had enacted the bump stock ban in 2018 after the mass shooting in Las Vegas which had resulted in 60 deaths and hundreds of people being injured. The perpetrator had used bump stocks in this shooting.

Trump’s spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated that the Supreme Court’s decision should be respected. Trump similarly showed support for the court and pointed out that he has the endorsement of the National Rifle Association.

Mary Trump condemned this reaction, stating that the ruling and Trump’s endorsement by the NRA are a reminder of where he stands on this issue. She added that his support for weapons of war was alarming and that it is in alignment with the stance of the GOP.

Mary Trump’s sharp critique underscores her view of Donald Trump’s policies and actions, particularly regarding gun control. She also criticized his stance on the COVID-19 pandemic and accused him of neglecting his duties while in office.
