(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Former President Donald Trump has once again praised his supporters that had been imprisoned after the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot by referring to them as “great patriots” during an interview on Friday.

While appearing on Real America’s Voice, host Gina Loudon had asked the former President to provide the rioters and their families “some hope for the future.”

In response, Trump has said that many of those rioters “are great patriots” and that everything that had happened to them was disgraceful. Trump then continued to say that “Antifa” and Black Lives Matter protestors had not received any punishment for essentially destroying whole cities. He then alleged that during the January 6th, Capitol attack there had been no deaths.

However, according to a bipartisan Senate report that is inaccurate. In fact, the fatalities have currently been calculated to have been seven. Five people died during the attack and two officers committed suicide following the Capitol attack. Ashley Babbitt specifically was shot by an officer while being part of the mob that entered the Capitol. Since her death, she has been hailed as a martyr by the GOP MAGA group.

On January 6, 2021, Trump’s supporters tried to block the certification of Joe Biden’s Electoral College win, after Trump had continuously claimed that 2020 had been “stolen” and “rigged.” Trump had never provided any evidence for these claims. Currently, 978 people have been arrested in relation to the Capitol riot and many face multiple charges.
