(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Friday, former President Donald Trump, who is the 2024 presumptive Republican nominee, praised the Supreme Court for its ruling in favor of a Jan. 6th protester. The court in their ruling argued against the obstruction of justice charges for what was described as a “peaceful protest.” Following the decision Trump started to once again push for President Joe Biden to release those who have been charged in connection to the Capitol attack.

During his rally in Chesapeake, Virginia, Trump noted that only hours ago the Supreme Court had ruled that the Department of Justice under the Biden administration had wrongfully prosecuted Americans over their protest on Jan. 6th. The speech was aired in its entirety on both the streaming platform Newsmax 2 and Newsmax.

Trump argued that these people have been treated incredibly badly, especially when compared with the people across the country, including Seattle and Portland, who had destroyed buildings and property and killed people. Trump once again referred to the protesters who have been imprisoned as “hostages” and even went as far as to claim they are “political prisoners.”

Trump continued by stating in front of the crowd that following this decision these people needed to be released immediately. He also took this opportunity to once again hail his nomination of the three conservative Justices currently sitting in the Supreme Court, Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh, and Neil Gorsuch. He added that he had put “three incredible justices” on the Supreme Court who were doing the right thing.
