( – On Tuesday night, former President Trump took to his social media platform to emphasize that he was not necessarily planning on terminating the Affordable Care Act, which is widely known as ObamaCare, but rather that he was looking for alternative replacement options.

In his post on Truth Social, he argued that it would be a priority of his administration to ensure that the American people would have access to healthcare that is even better than what they are receiving under ObamaCare. He added that the cost was not important and that the focus was going to be on health. He then argued that under his plans the country would have “one of the best Healthcare Plans” in the world while right now it had one of the worst ones.

Trump proceeded to argue that he was not looking to put an end to ObamaCare but that instead he was looking to have it replaced with superior Healthcare.

Trump who is the frontrunner of the 2024 Republican presidential race, claimed over the weekend that he was looking at possible alternatives to ObamaCare. He then claimed that the Republican party’s inability to repeal the Act in 2017 had been a “low point.”

Following late Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) historic vote against terminating ObamaCare the GOP has largely stopped campaigning against ObamaCare. The three other attempts made by the Republican party to put an end to the law were also unsuccessful in court. This is why many Republican senators were surprised by Trump’s choice to return to this topic and pointed out that there have been no conversations regarding replacing ObamaCare in years.
