(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Former President Trump mocked former NJ Governor Chris Christie who is considering joining the presidential race, pointing out that his approval rating during his time as governor was extremely low.

In an exclusive Town Hall in Iowa, Trump asked why Republicans were eager to see Christie join the GOP primary race, which is already crowded with candidates who are trying to challenge Trump’s front-runner position. He proceeded to tell Fox News’ Sean Hannity that he did not know why people were doing that and that there are people in the race who are at 0 or 1 percent.

He further added that he had heard Christie would be joining the race, and he is at six percent in New Jersey, which is his own state. He then questioned what the point of joining the race was when he was getting 0 percent in the polls.

This latest attack by Trump came only days after the latest reports came out which alleged that Christie is preparing to launch his presidential campaign next week. Christie had an unsuccessful run in the 2016 Republican primary where he dropped out of the race. Trump also told Hutchinson that no one knew who Christie was and that he did not understand why they are joining the race when they are at 1 percent or less.

Christie was not the only GOP candidate that Trump mocked during the race. In fact, he talked about former Arkansas Governor Hutchinson, whom he called “Aida,” and Florida Governor DeSantis, who is considered to be his biggest challenger in the presidential primary.
