( – Former President Donald Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to warn about a possible terrorist attack on American soil.

In his post, he started by noting that 3 years ago the country had the strongest borders in its history, but that now they have the worst borders. He added that the open borders meant that there were terrorists who were entering the United States completely unchecked from across the world and that there was a high chance that the U.S. would end up facing a major terror attack. He proceeded to push for the border to be closed.

CNN in their report pointed out that Eagle Pass, Texas was one of the main areas facing the escalating dispute between federal authorities and Texas. The two sides are fighting over how the migration crisis should be handled as well as over who has jurisdiction over the U.S.-Mexico border.

CNN in their report pointed out that the tension reached a new high on January 10th when the state authorities in Texas had blocked federal Border Patrol agents from a 2.5-mile stretch in Eagle Pass by installing razor wiring. Only two days after the Shelby Park in Eagle Park was seized by the state’s authorities there was an incident in the Rio Grande, where a mother and two children ended up drowning. Federal agents have maintained that they were blocked from assisting the three migrants.

The DHS has mentioned that they would be referring this issue to the Department of Justice to designate whether or not the Texas authorities will be allowed to continue their blockade of the region.
