(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Thursday, for the first time since January 2021, former President Donald Trump posted on X, formerly called Twitter. His post included a photo of his mug shot which had been taken earlier that day when he was booked in the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Georgia.
Trump’s account on X, then Twitter, had been suspended following the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack. Even though his account was activated again following the purchase of the platform by Elon Musk, Trump has continued to use his own social media platform Truth Social to make posts. Prior to his suspension and throughout his 2016 presidential campaign, Trump had been known for using his Twitter account to attack his political opponents and make announcements during his first term in the White House.
The image of his mug shot was also posted on Truth Social, as it is required that Trump post content on the platform exclusively before it can be shared on any other platforms. In his post, he had also written “Election Interference” and “Never Surrender!” He had also added a link to his campaign website which has a donation link on the homepage.
Trump had posted on his X account while on the flight back from Atlanta to New Jersey following his fourth indictment and booking. While Trump has been indicted three more times in the last year, this is the first time that he had his mug shot taken.
Earlier last week Trump had been charged on 13 counts relating to his attempts to overturn the presidential election results in 2020 in Georgia.
