( – Former President Donald Trump is considering having a rally in the South Bronx in an attempt to gain more support from Black voters after the 2024 Republican primary race. New York Young Republican President Gavin Wax, allegedly proposed the possibility of hosting such a rally to Trump, who appeared to be interested in the possibility.

Wax stated that last week, during the group’s gala in New York City he had approached Trump and proposed the idea to him. He added that Trump appeared to be interested in the possibility and even stated that the club should lead it as they have big Hispanic and Black caucuses. According to Wax, the two had proceeded to spend over 30 minutes talking during the dinner service at the gala.

Trump had reportedly praised Wax to the other guests often. As Wax stated the event would potentially take place after the primaries. He added that he expects that the Republican primary race will be an easy contest for Trump who would likely emerge with the victory.

Wax stated that he was inspired by the possibility of a campaign rally from the August 1980 visit of President Ronald Reagan to the Bronx. Reagan then proceeded to win the state in the next general election.

Trump had stated during the dinner that they would be winning New York. He added that he thought they had a genuine chance of success as hundreds of people were living on the sidewalks and streets. He further pointed out the high number of illegal migrants that ended up in New York.

Wax noted that this could potentially be an opportunity for Trump to win the support of Black voters who are unhappy with the Democrats and President Joe Biden.
