(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Arkansas Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders officially endorsed former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race.

Sanders is also expected to join Trump in his Hialeah, Florida, rally on Wednesday night which will be televised by Newsmax. The rally is going to be running at exactly the same time as the third Republican primary debate which is also taking place in Florida.

Trump has thus far chosen to skip all of the primary debates arguing that because of his large lead in the presidential race, he did not have a reason to join.

On Monday night, Sanders released a statement in which she argued that the question was no longer about right versus left, but rather it was about “normal versus crazy.” She then claimed that President Biden’s side was on the crazy side. As she stated it was time for America to return to the Trump administration’s normal policies which helped create a growing and prosperous country.

Sanders also mentioned that these were her reasons for the endorsement. In 2022, Sanders, 41, became the first woman to ever be elected to serve as the Arkansas governor. She is also the country’s youngest governor.

Earlier this year she was also the one to deliver a response from the GOP to the State of the Union speech given by President Joe Biden.

Sanders had served as part of the Trump administration previously. From 2017 to 2019 she had been the White House press secretary.

Trump in a statement noted that they have had a “great success” in the White House and he was honored to have received her endorsement. He also stated that he was looking forward to having her join him for his rally in Florida on Wednesday.

While Sanders endorsed Trump on Wednesday, on that same day Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis received an endorsement from Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds.
