Trump on Threat of Another Impeachment: Please Bring It On!

Asked this week by “Fox & Friends” to discuss the latest suggestion coming out of Democrat World – that a second impeachment might be used to stop the president from naming a successor to Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat on the Supreme Court – President Donald Trump said essentially that he would love nothing more than to see House Democrats try it.

“I heard yesterday, I heard if I do it, if I do it, they’re going to impeach me,” he said. “So they’re impeaching me for doing what I constitutionally have to do. Here’s the thing – I think then we win the election, then we win all elections if they do that. You saw what happened last time, my numbers went way up last time they did it. If they do, my numbers will go up. I think we’ll win the entire election. I think we’ll win the House. I think we’re going to win back the House, I really do. I think we’re going to win the House anyway.”

Trump said that no one should believe for a second that, if the roles were reversed, that Democrats would not rush to fill the seat as quickly as possible.

“If the Democrats were in the same position, there is zero chance that they wouldn’t do it, just so you understand,” he said. “So now they want to pack the courts – zero chance that they wouldn’t. They wouldn’t even talk about it. They’d say ‘You‘re crazy.  What are you, crazy?’ And Biden made that statement before. If you go back, he made the statement — I’m sure he doesn’t remember it — but he made that statement before. So if the shoe was on the other foot, as they say, there would be no chance that they wouldn’t be doing it. They’d be doing it, and they’d be doing it probably a lot faster than we’ll do it.”

Over the weekend, both House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and radical Democratic starlet Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were asked if they would consider a second impeachment if it meant they could buy a little time and prevent Trump from nominating someone to the Supreme Court. While neither woman came right out and endorsed that plan, it is worth noting that neither of them took that possibility off the table, either.

“I believe that also we must consider, again, all of the tools available to our disposal, and that all of these options should be entertained and on the table,” said AOC on Sunday.

“We have our options,” said Pelosi when asked about impeachment. “We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now.”

That’s one arrow they may be better off throwing in the garbage.

But hey, if they want to go through with it, we’ll be glad to sit back and laugh as they cost themselves the election.
