Following the news of Trump’s indictment, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), a strong ally of the former President, urged Fox News voters to donate to Trump, claiming his political opponents were attempting to “bleed him dry.”
During an interview with Sean Hannity on Thursday, Graham revealed that conservatives needed not only to vote in favor of Trump but also donate money to him, in order to help him fight against his legal troubles. As he specifically said, Trump currently has had to spend more money on lawyers than what most people spend on campaigns. This is why people should contribute by donating to him while he faces these legal battles.
Graham added that the indictment brought forth against Trump was “going to destroy America.” The charges relating to this case have not yet been revealed as the indictment is sealed.
The investigation that the grand jury undertook related to a $130,000 hush money payment allegedly made by Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer and one-time fixer, to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 general election.
Graham referred to this case as “legal voodoo” and “political persecution.” He added that those who were looking at the case could see that Trump was “being treated poorly and wrongly” and that he needs help. He then urged people to give Trump a boost and donate so he can properly defend himself in a court of law.
