(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen has slammed the CNN moderators of the first presidential debate and President Joe Biden for not discussing the recent conviction of former President Donald Trump.
On Saturday, during an appearance on MSNBC with Ali Velshi, Cohen talked about Biden’s performance arguing that the President should have immediately started to talk about the guilty verdict of Trump. He added that he had allowed Trump to be incredibly comfortable and that they had not made any mention of the 34 criminal convictions until the 45th minute of the debate. That is around halfway through the 90-minute debate.
Cohen argued that he would have immediately come out talking about the criminal convictions. In May the former President became the first U.S. president in history to be found guilty in a criminal case. A 12-person jury in New York had determined that he is guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection to a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Cohen was one of the key witnesses during the trial.
Cohen, who is Trump’s former lawyer and fixer, has separated from Trump and has been backing Biden’s 2024 reelection attempt. As he argued, Biden should have started the debate by talking about Roe v. Wade, the pandemic, and climate change for Trump to be thrown off his game. He added that the President should have opened up by stating that people would not hear a single truth during the debate and that this is something that viewers should remember every time they hear one of Trump’s answers.
