(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – The New York Post editorial board in a recent editorial blasted former President Donald Trump over his attack on former Ambassador to the United Nations during his administration Nikki Haley, who is also one of the 2024 presidential candidates.
The editorial was published on Monday and stated that Trump, who is running for the White House for the third time, had lost his “once-fearsome nicknaming powers.” They added that the decline was first visible with his recent nicknames for Republican presidential candidate and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis whom Trump has called “Meatball Ron” and “DeSanctimonious.” As they pointed out, the most recent addition of calling Haley “birdbrain” was a clear indicator that he was slipping on his nickname.
Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social this past weekend slamming Haley who had previously claimed that if Trump joined the 2024 presidential election she would not run against him. She had further vowed that she would not be challenging him for the Republican nomination.
In his Truth Social post, Trump argued that Haley, whom he referred to as a “birdbrain” lacked both the “temperament” and “talent” to be in office.
However, in their editorial, the post defended the former U.N. ambassador arguing that she had a good “grasp of policy” and that she was both “calm and effective.” They further stated that she clearly won both of the Republican primary debates despite having to face off a “pack of shouting men.” This was why she was growing her following among Republican voters.
