Trump Airs McConnell’s Dirty Laundry

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and the Former President Trump feud are once again at the center of people’s attention this weekend. Using Truth Social on Saturday, Trump posted a comment concerning McConnel that painted him in a negative line. The comment also concerned McConnell’s wife, former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, who Trump called crazy. Chao had worked under the Trump administration until a day after Jan. 6, 2021.

Trump’s comment related to how McConnell is allowed by other Republican Senators to scorn other Republican candidates, rather than focus on helping them with campaigning. He also said McConnell is helping Chao and her family grow their wealth back in China.

Chao comes from a prominent shipping family, as her family owns the Foremost Group which is an American company.

The Department of Transportation inspector general has previously noted that Chao may have used her position both under former President George W. Bush and Trump to help promote her family’s business. The Justice Department refused to open an investigation on Chao in the past.

Many were surprised though that Trump would once again heighten his conflict with McConnell as currently, the Republican Party is struggling to secure as many votes as possible for the upcoming election to take over the Senate. Currently, the odds of a takeover are not in the Republicans favor.

McConnell when asked stated that he had no comments regarding the statement made by the former President. He has also been cautious when speaking about the odds of the Senate flipping. The House is far more likely to switch than the Senate, McConnell has said.

Scott Jennings, a Republican strategist, spoke about Trump’s comments, saying that this is another attempt by Trump to place himself centrally in the midterm race. This has hurt the GOP in the past.

  1. A+ Elaine Treaber

McConnell should retire and go to China with his wife.

  2. McConell is a deep state RINO and needs to go. All he is interested in is in feathering his own nest. The sooner McConnel is replaced the better.

  3. This isn’t really News its been out there and been ignored as long as The crip did his Job but since he and his wife were exposed while Trump was President all this began to come out and he is trying to cover.
POLATICS IS A NASTY SLImY BUSINESS. McConnnel

  4. Donald Trump had no business appointing Chao to be a cabinet chief in the first place. The fact she was compromised has been known for many years.

After showing his swamp-rat colors yet again, Mr. Trump should be embarrassed to get into a personal wrestling match with Chao and McConnell. It’s as if he WANTS the Donks to solidify their hold on both chambers of Congress.

  5. Ronald Reagan advised Republicans to not engage in intraparty fratricide.

Which brings to mind yet again that Mr. Trump was a repeat registered Donk and, like Mutt Romney, supported Reagan’s opponents.

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

    • First intelligent comment I have read in a long time!

    • You get engaged if you can’t get anything done because of the moles/RINOs. That’s been our trouble for years, we keep on electing the ones we know that are fence sitters. We’ve needed a Trump for years but kept putting up Globalists who sided with the left too often. Now we’re paying the price. In 4 years Trump got more done than any other Republican President in my lifetime while being badgered with impeachments that proved to be Clinton’s henchmen and RINOs. Looks like some of the comments are some of those.

  6. McConnell is a traitor! Whose side is he on- certainly not the Republicans. Total out of touch, rich politician. Controlled by money!

  7. McConnell doesn’t want the Republicans to control the Senate. If they did, he would actually have to do something for the American people. With the Senate in the minority, all he has to do is occasionally bellyache about the fact that the Republicans can’t control the decisions made on any bill. Other than that, he doesn’t have to do actually anything, which he is quite good at. He is an empty suit RINO and the citizens in the great State of Kentucky need to send him packing at the end of his current term. Unfortunately, his term can’t end soon enough for the sake of the Republican Party.

  8. Seenitbeenthere.

    Exactly

  9. Seenitbeenthere.

    Exactly!

    • McConnell should call it quits for the good of the party. He has demonstrated himself to be a RINO every time he is pushed as to where he stands. He should step aside and let Kentucky get a decent representative. McConnell does what is good for McConnell—not for the people of the United States.

  10. That is President Trump not Mr Trump. Have just a little respect.
