(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Sen. Ted Cruz, in a recent interview on Newsmax’s “Eric Bolling The Balance” on Wednesday, revealed that Democrats were incredibly afraid that voters might choose to reelect former President Donald Trump. He added that the Democrats hated Democracy which is why they have pushed for all the indictments and charges against Trump in an attempt to block him from winning the election.

Last Tuesday Trump had posted on Truth Social that he had received a “target letter” from special counsel Jack Smith in connection to the investigation relating to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack. Cruz in his interview stated that the indictments against Trump which are pushed by the Democrats are a “disgrace.”

Trump was previously indicted in a different federal case relating to 37 counts of federal indictment relating to the alleged mishandling of classified documents after he left the White House in 2021. The documents were recovered from the former President’s Mar-a-Lago home. Trump pleaded not guilty to all counts in this case.

Months earlier, he had also pleaded not guilty to a 34-count indictment that had been filed by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Cruz revealed to Bolling that he does not believe that Trump should be indicted in a case relating to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack, adding that it would be an “abuse of power” which is what the legal cases brought against Trump have so far been. The Senator added that the Democrats were completely politicizing the Department of Justice and the FBI and weaponizing the law enforcement agencies.

He proceeded to call for Attorney General Merrick Garland to be impeached and completely removed from office over this.
