Tara Reade: Inauguration Day “Difficult for Survivors of Sexual Assault”

As much as the left would like Tara Reade to go away for good, she simply refuses to do so. Much like Bill Clinton accuser Juanita Broaddrick, Biden may have to deal with Reade’s allegations for the rest of his life. Unlike Clinton, of course, that lifetime is unlike to stretch into four more decades, but still. She has a story, she’s standing by it, and she refuses to be cowed or intimidated into silence by the very same people who immediately took Christine Blasey Ford at her (completely unsubstantiated) word.

As you almost certainly know by now, Reade was a staffer who worked for Biden when he was a U.S. senator in the early 90s. According to her, Biden pushed her up against a wall, forcibly kissed her, and penetrated her with his fingers in a Senate hallway in 1993. Biden – to the extent that he has addressed the allegations at all – has issued a categorical denial of Reade’s accusation.

“Look at Tara Reade’s story, it changes considerably,” he said during the campaign.

After being questioned about the allegation, Biden finally just said, hey, if you believe her, vote for someone else.

“If they believe Tara Reade, they probably shouldn’t vote for me,” Biden said. “I wouldn’t vote for me if I believed Tara Reade.”

Save a few bold celebrities like Rose McGowan, almost all of the #MeToo activists who embraced Blasey Ford as an icon of heroism either ignored Reade or trashed her reputation in an effort to protect the Democratic candidate.

On Wednesday, Reade told the Daily Caller that it was “unspeakably hard to watch” Biden take the oath of office.

“Coming forward about being sexually harassed and assaulted in 1993 when I was Joe Biden’s staffer was excruciating on so many levels,” Reade said. “Biden used his power and resources with certain media to erase me and silence me.

“I stand in solidarity with all survivors coming up against such power,” she continued. “I will not be silenced. Instead of talking about saving the country’s soul he should be held accountable for his actions. The hard part is I believe in many policies that will move forward as I am a progressive Independent but it is unspeakably hard to watch the man who assaulted me go to the most powerful position in the land.”

She also posted a tweet, saying, “Today is yet again another difficult day for survivors of sexual violence. While I’m thankful Trump was defeated, the man who assaulted me as our president is still terribly painful. I will be sharing resources for survivors today for #Inauguration2021.”

With the exception of Fox News, not a single mainstream media outlet has covered Reade’s newest remarks.

We know you’re shocked.
