Shifty Adam Schiff Promises to Investigate Trump’s Coronavirus Response

After going through what was undoubtedly a rough period of depression and fame-withdrawal after his impeachment crusade came to an unceremonious end in the Senate, Rep. Adam Schiff saw in the coronavirus a chance to take one more bite at the apple. Schiff’s efforts to destroy Trump using the weaponry of the Russia hoax were unsuccessful, and his subsequent efforts to take Trump out of office with the Ukraine nonsense were doomed to failure as well. But perhaps by putting himself as the Head Democrat in Charge of investigating Trump’s coronavirus response, Schiff can finally bring home a win to his leash-holder, Nancy Pelosi.

At the very least, he can milk it for some more of that sweet, sweet time in front of the cameras.

Schiff appeared on MSNBC’s “AM Joy” this weekend to discuss his hope that a thorough investigation of President Trump’s coronavirus response would bear fruit.

“We are right now going through our intelligence holdings. What did the intelligence community make us aware of at the end of last year or earlier this year? Other committees are doing like analyses,” Schiff said. “It is very important, I think, in reviewing the intelligence component to this to realize the intelligence piece is just one piece of the warnings coming to the administration. A lot of those warnings were in the public domain. They came from public health organizations, like WHO or CDC or his own National Security Council, and ignored those warnings.

“We are diving deeply into what does the intelligence community know, what resources we would bring there, and what do we need to do prospectively to better protect the country in the future,” he continued. “That last piece, how do we protect the country in the future, is really the mission of that independent commission we based on, we used the model the 9/11 commission.”

We are, of course, all for a commission that could look at our nation’s response to the pandemic and find out what we could do better in the future. That’s a given. But for such an investigation to take place, it needs to be done as far away from the Adam Schiffs, Jerrold Nadlers, and Nancy Pelosis of the world as possible. These three doofuses have proven that they belong nowhere near any “oversight” function that is to be taken seriously.

Our guess is that Schiff cares much less about a truly independent analysis of the U.S. response to the coronavirus than he does about another excuse to “get” Trump, just in time for the fall election season. We base that guess on a very convincing file of evidence, which could fairly be labeled: Everything Adam Schiff Has Done For The Last Four Years.
