Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) has slammed Democrats ahead of a potential 2024 White House bid, stating that the party is creating “a blueprint on how to ruin America.”
This statement was made during an interview on “Fox News Sunday.” During his speech, Scott claimed that the left was trying to “sell a drug of victimhood and the narcotic of despair.”
On the other hand, during his visit to the early-voting state of Iowa, Scott tried to promote his optimistic view of the country which could flourish under the Republican Party’s values.
On Sunday, however, he argued that pointing out the ways that the Democratic Party has failed is not a negative, and there is nothing wrong with pointing out that during Biden’s administration, the inflation rate has been the highest it has been in 40 years.
While Scott has not yet announced a bid for the White House, he is widely expected to also join the presidential race. South Carolinian Nikki Haley and former President Trump are currently the two biggest GOP names to have officially launched presidential campaigns.
Scott’s message thus far is focused on the importance of educational opportunities, allowing parents and students to have more control over their educational choices. When asked about what separates him from Trump, Scott stated that he did not think much separated them.
