(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Walt Nauta, an aide to former President Donald Trump who has been charged in relation to Trump’s mishandling of classified documents has received payments from two different committees that are connected to Trump.

The Federal Election Commission filings have shown that Nauta has received payments both from Donald Trump for President Inc PAC, and from the leadership PAC Save America. Many different law firms and attorneys have also received payments from the two PACs as a result of the legal troubles that Trump is currently facing.

While it is not illegal for Nauta to receive compensation for services from these Super PACs, many have questioned what services he provided.

Nauta is accused of attempting to obstruct the attempts by the federal government to retrieve classified and sensitive documents that were in Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

Campaign finance expert Rob Pyers was one of the first to point out on Twitter that Nauta had received payments both from the PACs and from Trump’s 2024 campaign committee. Trump’s leadership PAC has also covered payments of over $40 million in legal fees in the past year, all relating to Trump’s recent indictments.

The legal payments started after Trump’s indictment for falsifying business records in New York City. The former President has also been indicted in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s classified documents investigation and he is expected to soon be indicted in connection to Smith’s investigation into his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election and his role on Jan. 6, 2021. Fani Willis, the Fulton County District Attorney has also announced that they will announce whether Trump will be indicted in connection to his attempts to overturn the state’s elections by September 1st.
