(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – During an appearance at First Baptist Dallas this past weekend former Vice President Mike Pence blasted former President Trump over his comments that some evangelical leaders were disloyal for not endorsing him in his 2024 presidential bid.

Pence, who was at the Southern Baptist megachurch located in Dallas, Texas, signing copies of his book So Help Me God which was released in November, also attended church the next day. During the event, he also held a discussion with Pastor Robert Jeffress.

Jeffress had previously told Texas Monthly’s Skip Hollandsworth in November that he did back Trump in his 2024 bid. However, he later backtracked that statement saying that he was holding off on endorsing a candidate until after the GOP primaries. This was during a time when many Republicans were moving away from Trump because he received a lot of the blame for the underwhelming results in the 2022 midterm elections.

On Monday, Trump criticized evangelical leaders for not supporting him and being disloyal despite all the work that Trump did for the right-to-life movement. As Trump noted during an interview on The Water Cooler podcast with host David Brody, it was during his presidency that three conservative Justices were appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court which allowed Roe v. Wade to be overturned.

Trump launched his 2024 presidential campaign in November, but Pence has not yet announced whether or not he would place his own bid for the White House.

However, Pence has said that he believed people would have better options than Trump for the Presidency.
