(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – On Tuesday, the Department of Justice announced that it would be suing Google for what they claim is an abuse of monopoly. Interestingly, Representative Nancy Pelosi decided to sell her Google stocks only a month before the lawsuit against Google was announced. This has led to many questioning whether or not Pelosi was aware that there would be a lawsuit filed against Google.

Before the announcement regarding the lawsuit came out, Pelosi decided to sell up to $3 million in Google stocks last month. According to Congressional filings, Pelosi sold 10,000 shares of Alphabet Inc., a Google holding company over three days in December. According to the report each of the stocks ranged in value from $50,001 and $1 million.

Pelosi has now come under fire online with many questioning whether or not it was coincidental that a lawsuit and Pelosi selling her stock had taken place within only a few weeks of one another.

Former Republican congressional candidate Robby Starbuck also took to Twitter to write that he was certain it was all “ one big coincidence. “

James Bradley, a former GOP Senate candidate also tweeted out that even non-conspiracy theories were going to question why Pelosi sold $3 million of her Google Stocks exactly a month before the lawsuit against Google was brought forth.

Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri, on Tuesday, had brought forth the PELOSI Act, which aimed to ban Congress members from purchasing stock while they are still in office. The Pelosi Act, also known as the Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments (PELOSI) Act, will also prevent the spouses of Congress members from also trading stocks.
