(PatriotNewsDaily.com) – Democratic Senator John Fetterman (Pennsylvania) is doubling down on his support for Biden.

On Wednesday, Fetterman acknowledged on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime” that although President Joe Biden is not as sharp as he was a few years prior, he would still support the President.

Despite Biden’s dismal Presidential debate performance on June 27th, Fetterman claimed he hadn’t “seen anything” that would change his support for Biden, adding that he wasn’t “following [Biden] blindly,” but ultimately believed him to be a “great President” who “can prevail.”

The Democratic Senator, who has had to overcome his fair share of detractors following a stroke, explained to host Jesse Watters that he had only seen part of the debate and admitted the parts he saw showed Biden had a “bad night.”

Yet Fetterman suggested Biden is “actually very popular,” a conclusion he made after spending time with the President at various events in Pennsylvania.

He added that people were very “eager to have a selfie and those kinds of things[s]” with the President, using the interview to “remind everybody” that Biden had done “a really good job as President.” He explained he would “remain loyal to that.”

Fetterman also argued debates don’t mean much while calling on conversations about Biden’s possible withdrawal from the race to end. He told Watters that while the audience might not agree that Biden is a “great president,” he believed it and would remain loyal to the President because loyalty is “one of the last currencies in this lousy business.”

So far, nine Congressional Democrats – House Representatives and Senators — have called on Biden to withdraw from the race.
